The Cup, the Plan and the New World
The cup of iniquity filling is not a passive process that God watches helplessly. It is the plan. From the beginning, the structure of human history has been the progressive demonstration of what sin produces when given its full expression, leading to the complete case that is presented at the Great White Throne and the constitution of the new world that results from the complete record.
The Plan Was Encoded From the Beginning
Genesis 3:15 announced two seeds. The feast calendar at Sinai mapped the entire story in miniature. The Jubilee calendar from 1437 BC placed every event at its appointed position. Daniel was told to seal the book until the time of the end. The Day of Atonement 2026 was always 1260 days before 1st Nisan 2030 (3rd April 2030). None of this required any human being to discover it for it to be true. The plan was encoded in the structure of time before human history began. The investigation found it. It did not create it.
God Uses the Instrument and Then Judges the Instrument
Every instrument of judgment in the biblical narrative is itself judged after being used. Nebuchadnezzar was used to judge Israel and then was humbled and nearly destroyed before being restored. Babylon was used to collect the debt of the 70 years and was then punished as Jeremiah 25:12 promised. The beast system is used for the final judgment of the world and is then destroyed — the beast and false prophet cast into the lake of fire, the dragon bound. The instrument is always temporary. The Judge is always permanent. This pattern is not incidental. It is the consistent expression of the cup principle: the cup of the instrument fills in the process of being used, and when full, the instrument receives its own judgment.
The New World — Built on the Evidence
The new world is not a recovery from catastrophe. It is the destination that was always the destination, reached through the process that was always the process. The cup principle, the kinsman redeemer, the two lines, the tribulation, the millennium, the Great White Throne, and the new creation — all one coherent plan from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22. The Books of Deeds preserved as the constitution. The record of sin as the permanent guarantee. The new world informed rather than naive. The case closed. The verdict final. Revelation 21:4: the former things are passed away not because they are forgotten but because the case is closed and the verdict is final and the new world stands on the permanent record of why it must never happen again.
