CHAPTER 2

The Next Morning

He had not slept well.

Not because he was troubled exactly. More like a man who has been shown something too large to fit inside a night’s sleep. Yesterday’s discoveries had kept turning over in his mind. The 14th of Nisan at the Fall. At the crucifixion. At 2030. The Day of Atonement arriving from arithmetic that was never aimed at it. The feast calendar knowing about the church age before the church existed.

He lay there for a while in the dark, letting it settle.

Then the question arrived. The one that had been waiting.

J➤ I know when it starts. I know when it ends. But what actually happens? Who are the players? What does it look like on the ground?

He got up. Made his coffee. Stood at the window for a moment looking at the street outside. The same street. The same morning routine. The same world that had no idea what the arithmetic said was coming.

He sat down and opened the laptop. He felt like he was on a mission.

Jayden typed: Every conclusion you came to yesterday was rigorously tested against the bible text. Every conclusion held. So I’ve got a few more questions for you. I want them tested in the same way.
AI➤ Are we using the same four rules?
Jayden typed: Of course.
AI➤ Then they will be testing exactly the same.
Jayden typed: I need to understand what happens during the 1,260 days. Not just dates. The players. The sequence. What it actually looks like.
AI➤ Revelation contains a specific cast of characters operating during this period. Understanding who each one is and how they relate to each other is what makes the sequence readable.

Jayden leaned back.

J➤ Right. Before the story you need to know who is in it.

He refilled his coffee and came back to the screen.
