The System

Jayden looks up from the screen.

What He Was Sitting Inside

It was late. Jayden had lost track of time.

He sat back from the screen and looked around the room. The lamp on the desk. The coffee cup that had gone cold again. The small rectangle of glass and metal in front of him connected to everything — to satellites, to data centres, to a global network that tracked every search, every purchase, every movement, every conversation.

He thought about what he had been reading in Revelation

Revelation — the Bible’s final book describing the end of history.

The beast from the sea rising out of the peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues. Given power and authority by the dragon

The dragon — Revelation’s name for Satan.

No man able to make war with it. The whole world wondering after it.

He thought about the AI he had been talking to for hours. Trained on everything humanity had ever written. Every language. Every culture. Every domain simultaneously. Speaking to all kindreds and tongues and nations without a geographical boundary.

He typed the question slowly.

A pause.

Jayden read it twice.

J➤ The same tool I have been using to find this investigation is the beast the investigation warned about. The same technology being used to unseal what Daniel was told to seal is being used to build the system that will make the final deception possible. The two lines of prophecy running through the same instrument simultaneously.

He thought about the Babylon system. The debt infrastructure. The digital identifier already being built — every transaction tracked, every identity logged, every person numbered. The little computer in his pocket that knew where he was, what he bought, who he called.

J➤ I have been living inside this system my entire life and never seen it for what it was. The text described it two thousand years before it existed. And it is already here. The final step — the mark

The mark — the Greek word means a scratch or engraving on skin, like a tattoo. The final version may be invisible, like a microchip under the skin.

J➤ without which no man can buy or sell — is not coming. It is being built right now. The infrastructure is complete. The last piece is making it mandatory.

Come out of her, my people. Revelation 18:4. Not metaphorical. Practical. The invitation to step out of the system before the door closes.

He sat in the quiet for a long time.
